I’ve been sleeping poorly the last few days because we needed to start this ‘baby’. We have had serial discussions within Jobberman on what the content should be like and also the look and feel of this space. I woke up in the wee hours of the Morning just before dawn and instead of turning over and going back to sleep, I’m up. Because I’m excited about STARTING.
This blog is titled Career Advice to draw some attention. It’s more than just a how to resource. It is a blog by employees of Jobberman about the HR industry, the happenings @the company, and ideas we find interesting… We want to spread our idea passionately, daringly and contagiously. We want to share it convincingly (at least to the best of our efforts), wholeheartedly and completely and we want to evangelize it now! It’s more than finding a job, it’s finding the RIGHT job. It’s more than staying employed, it’s standing out in your place of employment.
By the way, we don’t claim to be HR experts, and a number of our processes are highly inefficient. We are scrappy (allow me to use that) and we are working on fine-tuning at broadband speed. In business language, I generally value effectiveness over efficiency. We are making serious commitments to make sure all the contents are up-to-date, refreshing and well researched (we will not like to mislead anyone) and see it add value to readers’ lives.
Our goal to the end of 2009 is modest: 2 ‘ever-green’ essays each week. By ever-green’, I mean essays that are timeless with common sense content. Our ethos is “Write for the reader”. We have plans to bring on Guest Columns by Human Resources (HR) experts by the end of 2009. So please stay tuned!
The Metrics for judging how well we are faring will include a cluster of: Unique Visitors, Returning Users, Subscribers and Page Views. More importantly, success will be defined not by traffic, but by impact.
We strong believe we should obsess over readers. Not competitors, not anything else, but readers. To us, a good product or service helps people. We will write a lot of detailed, how-to articles because they are what the majority of readers might respond best to. But we need your advice, how can we best serve you? How can we help you?
A warm welcome! We look forward to an enduring journey with hope and excitement.
Regards,
-Ayodeji

Good Job (note the pun) , I like the clean design of the main site as well as the availability of actual jobs in different categories.
Many thanks Mr Turenchi. Pun noted.
Cool job. Simple layout with great accessibility. It doesn’t come much better for a start but there’s no limit. Pump up the Volume guyz.
